he award-winning Israeli Academy's 2010 mini-series "Nebulot" consists of five episodes based on a novel by author Yoram Kaniuk. It's a dark comedy that breaks through with two elderly friends, heroes of the War of Independence, embarking on a killing spree of young people in modern-day Tel Aviv. The acclaimed and award-winning "Nebulot" was created by Dror Sabo, who also directed, and Dafna Levin who wrote it.

The series won the Israeli Academy Award for Television in 2011.

In 2012, the series was re-edited into a film that was accepted to the Toronto Film Festival.

In 2015, the series was sold to the American HBO network.
